“Beach Mirror”.

The mixed media installation was created on a boulder on South Beach, Whitehaven, West Cumbria in September 2020.The mirror is made from locally sourced sea glass whilst the frame is an iron ore pebble scratched into the surface next to sandstone patterns that complements the overall composition. The pebble is from a slag heap cliff made up of waste materials from a nearby old beach coastal colliery and leaves a strong visual ochre impression .

“Autumnal Shift”.

The temporary mixed media artwork was created at Yeathouse station platform on the Sustrans cyclepath section from Moor Row to Rowrah, West Cumbria. The artwork is one of a series of Environmental art being created as Artist in residence for Sustrans. The platform installation was made in early September 2020 from site specific locally found materials and charcoal and sited on a polished stone platform flagstone.
